Information on the processing of personal data


From 25 May 2018, the European Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data(“Regulation”) becomes applicable.

 

1. Introduction

The regulation essentially deals with the protection and assurance of the rights of individuals with confidentiality and sets out strict global confidentiality requirements, which govern how personal data are managed and protected, while respecting individual choices – no matter where they are sent. , processed or stored data.

 

 

2. Principles

 The regulation requires us to comply with a wide range of requirements regarding the collection and processing of personal data, including the obligation to comply with six principles:

 

  • The need for transparency regarding the management and use of personal data;
  • Limiting the processing of personal data to specified, legitimate purposes;
  • Restrict the collection and storage to the minimum amount of personal data required for a specific purpose;
  • Providing the possibility for data subjects to correct or request the deletion of personal data;
  • Limiting the storage of personal data only to the period necessary to achieve the purpose;
  • Ensuring the security, integrity, confidentiality and protection of personal data through appropriate security practices.
